Last Thursday I picked up Spencer, my 4 year old grandson to hang out. We were just going on some errands, picking up Matt from school, etc. As he was getting into the car, I bent down to do up his seat belt. He looked me in the face and said, "Grandma, you're old!" He said it so directly, like someone just had to tell me! I responded sadly, "But, Spencer, I don't want to be old!" I thought maybe he'd feel bad for me and follow up his last comment with a compliment or something. (yeah, right) Instead he felt the need to emphasize his point even more by adding a fail-proof method, "But Grandma, you ARE old....Just look at yourself!!!"
I was laughing so hard. I realized that my 51 years does look "old" to a 4-year old. But, to Jeff's parents (in their 80's) we don't look old at all. "Old" is a matter of perspective.

haha. Mom, it's really funny that you have a blog. Good job. Are you really going to keep doing it?
You mean is Tia going to do it? Yes, I think she will :)
Mom, you did two great posts. You're a good blogger! Miss you today!
Em, Wait weren't you the one who kept telling me to do a blog?
Miss you too, Tia. How do I change the background again?
Thanks for starting a blog! This will be such a fun way to keep in touch. I may have to have Tia give me a few tips too...your page is so darling! Love to you!
