Every time the grandkids come over they want to play Rock Band. We finally let them REALLY play with the controllar, guitar, drums, and microphone connected! It was quite a sight to see. They were engaged for a very long time. Tia's in town this weekend! She's been a big help with the little ones.
Emily's birthday was on Thursday! We picked Tia up at the airport, checked the kids out of school and the girls all went to Panera for lunch to celebrate. That night Chad surprised Em with tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera playing at the Venetian! She couldn't believe it! We opened presents, ate Cafe Rio, better than anything cake, and the two of them jetted to the musical. They said it was incredible, and almost better than Wicked! That's saying a lot considering hearing that from these Wicked fanatics (they've seen it over ten times)! We all want to go see The Phantom now. We love you so much Em! Happy Birthday!

I love that you call it the "Better than anything cake." That's a good name! My mom just calls it Turtle cake, but then no one knows what she's talking about. Better than anything is close enough to the original name, but a little less scandalous! :)
Can't believe how big those kids are getting--and new ones are coming along, too! Time goes too fast!
I'm so jealous you guys have a Cafe Rio in Vegas. Now they need to migrate a little further east to Texas!
